An Endless Battle

You're at the point of living
reaching for your dream
when your roller coaster ride
suddenly breaks halfway.
Your heart skips a beat,
Your world suddenly stops
and you don't know what to do.

Are you going to jump
and end your life right away?
Or will you struggle to fight
and survive the ride?
Or will you just go with the flow,
let yourself be in the situation
and wait for what's gonna happen next?

Full of uncertainties
and inhibitions,
Yourself is your enemy
Like a chronic illness...
your immune system
attacks its own,
You have your enemy within you.

It's tough and hard to fathom
In denial at first,
while having thoughts of dying
So soon... Flare is unpredictable
Remission is your escape
Pills are your food
Prayer is your survival.

Looks fine outside
but feeling pained inside...
Constantly changing minds,
confused mental state,
you really can't understand why...
Sadness strikes that
tears are uncontrollable...

Fear is inevitable,
what's going on
and what's going to happen
you can't predict... There are times you feel
helpless and hopeless,
wanna give up but
the sun still shines...

Who would have thought
that living is easy?
Indeed life is a
never-ending struggle. The battle is endless
You live your life with it,
Be a survivor, a conqueror
A fighter, a warrior...
